"I have been a fan of Rhys Bowen’s books for a couple of years, and I always look forward to new releases. All of her books are lovely, but I must admit that her Royal Spyness series is my favorite. If you’re not familiar with this series, here’s a brief explanation: the books take place in1930s England, and Georgiana Rannoch is 35th in line for the throne. She is an astute young woman, and she often receives royal requests for help. Of course, one cannot refuse the Queen of England. Georgie has all sorts of adventures, and solves mysteries .." "...Another great entry in an always entertaining series -- with a little twist this time. As with most 'series' I look forward to spending time with favorite characters, but this book only gave me a little time in the very beginning, and very little of always interesting Belinda, or Georgie's vivacious Mum. However, it was difficult to miss them with Georgie and Darcy so close, and with the introduction of the always enthusiastic Princess Zou Zou, and Darcy's eccentric Aunt Oona and Uncle Dooley. 코지 미스테리계열이고 'A ROYAL SPYNESS MYSTERY' 라는 시리즈책이다. 영국과 아일랜드에 대한 역사를 조금이나마 배우게 되는 계기였다. 문장이 무난하고 재밌어서 읽기에 편하다. 진도도 잘나가는 편이다. 다만 중심 사건의 전개가 느리고 단순한 편이다. 책의 많은 분량이 사건과는 직접적인 관련이 없는 다른 묘사나 설명이 많다. 하지만 읽는데 큰 문제는 없다. 사건의 시간적 배경이 12월이어서 그런지 지금 읽기에 좋다. 책에 등장하는 표현처럼 크리스마스 카드에 나올 듯한 눈덮인 아일랜드 시골에 대한 묘사를 읽고 가보고 싶다는 생각을 했다.
