전에 읽었던 "When You Reach Me" 에서 여주인공이 선물로 받은 책이 "A Wrinkle in Time" 의 초판본이다. 두 책 모두가 "Time Travelling" 이라는 소재가 중요한 의미를 가진다. 나름의 어려움을 가진 세명의 아이들이 세명의 신비로운 존재들의 도움으로 행방불명이된 아버지를 찾아 나서는 이야기이다. 출판년도를 보면 알겠지만 이 작품은 오랜세월을 지나오면서 전세계의 많은 독자들 뿐만 아니라 다양한 장르의 작품들에게 직간접적으로 영향을 주었다. 내용이 상당히 교육적이고 과학적이다. 아동 청소년 문학 장르에 속하지만 ... 독자의 능력에 따라서 이해하는데 힘들 수도 있다. 핵심어는 time travel, witches, wrinkle, Einstein, tesseract, different, same, love, rescue, cooperate, friendship, brotherhood, prejudice, rumor, dimension 등이다.
