In “Due or Die,” book No. 2 in the series, opens with a change in leadership of the Friends of the Library..."  이 책은 cozy mystery 계열의 시리즈물이다. 작은 도서관을 중심으로 벌어지는 이야기를 다루고 있는데 읽을 만하다. 내용이나 글의 구성이 무겁지 않고 대단한 추리를 요구하지도 않는 그냥 편하게 읽으면 되는 소박한(?) 작품이다. 다만 독자에 따라서 지루할 수도 있다. 책의 중반쯤에 도달하면 대충 범인이 누구인가를 알 수 있고 큰 반전도 없는 흐름이다 보니 지루하다는 느낌을 받을 수 있다. 핵심어는 library, rare books, mental, blizzard, murder, dog, greedy, love, tug, friendship, heir 등이다.
