直接的な表現と直接的な翻訳でまるでシナリオのシーン説明のような部分もあります。これもおそらく映画化を考えての合理的な理由なのではと思ったりします。マンハッタン全部をツタで覆ったりたくさんの空飛ぶ物体だったりセントラルパークに透明な蓋をしたりとどう実写化するのか想像します...."

11살 전후의 아이들을 대상으로 하는 작품이다. 하지만 해리포터 같은 장르에 관심이 있는 독자라면 누구나 읽을 만한 작품이다. 문장이 쉽고 이야기의 전개가 흥미롭다. 다만 가능하면 'The Wishing Spell(2012)' 'The Enchantress Returns(2013)' 'A Grimm Warning(2014)' 'Beyond the Kingdoms(2015)' 'An Author's Odyssey(2016)' 'Worlds Collide(2017)' 등의 순서로 읽는 것을 추천한다. 이 작품에서는 앞의 작품들에 등장하는 다양한 캐릭터들이 등장하기 때문에 초반에 이해하는데 시간을 들여야 한다. 좋은 문장들 때문에 더 즐겁게 읽었다는 생각이 든다.
