갑작스러운 인사이동으로 도서관에 변화의 바람이 불고 임시 책임자로 온 사람은 직원들과 마찰을 일으킨다. 흔한 이야기의 시작이다. 초반은 좀 흥미를 끄는 측면이 있지만 중반은 좀 지루한 편이다. 막판에 가서야 이야기가 재미있어지기 때문에 참고 읽어야 한다. 도서관 사서의 월급에 만족못하는 직원의 횡령이 결국 세명이 죽는 살인사건으로 확대된다. 가끔씩 등장하는 낯선(?)단어들이 있지만 문장이나 책의 구성이 읽기에 쉽다.
