"衝撃的な内容でした。最初は序盤何を言っているのか(星とか光とか？？)よく分からなくて焦ったのですが、本編である四つの約束についてが目からウロコがボロボロ落ちる内容で途中から、とんでもない本に出遭ってしまったな…と体が熱くなるほど！本当に感激しました。独特の語り口調なので、少し慣れが必要かもしれません。自分は普段本をほとんど読まないので、どちらかといえば薄い本なのですが、少し時間がかかりました。1回しか読めてないのであと2,3回は読んで理解を深めたいと思います。たくさんの人、....... 読んでほしい一冊です..."

장르는 자기 계발서이지만, 종교적 철학적 사색적 느낌이 나는 작품이다. 세상에 대한 도전적이고 저항적이며 때때로 소망적이다. 솔직히 다른 계발 서적에도 다루고 있는 내용들이 많기 때문에 읽기에 쉽고 내용 파악이 비교적 용이하다.  낯설지 않은 표현들과 심플한 문장 구조가 조용한 '울림'을 전달한다는 점에서 이 책을 읽는 즐거움이 있다. 내용뿐만 아니라 영어공부에도 도움이 되는 작품이다. 개인적으로 니체라는 철학자가 생각나기도 한 작품이다. 진정한 자아의 발견과 행복을 위한 안내서이다. "If you are impecable with your word, if you don't take anything personally, if you don't make assumptions, if you always do your best, then your are going to have a beautiful life. You are going to control your life one hundred percent."라는 문장이 이 작품을 잘 보여주는 거 같다.

- The agreements that come from fear require us to expend a lot of energy, but the agreements ... come from love help us to conserve energy .........

- Regardless of what language you speak, your intent manifests through the word ................

- We make an suumption, we misunderstand, we take it personally, and we end up creating a whole big drama for nothing..... have the courage to ask questions ....

- expressing what you are is taking action.

- Do not be concerned about the future, keep your attention on today, and stay in the present moment, just live one day at a time. Always do your best to keep thses agreements .....

- The freedom we are looking for is the freedom to be ourselves, to express ourselves.....
