145페이지 분량의 단편이다. 이 Rose Gardner 시리즈도 막장을 넘어서 종반으로 가고 있는거 같다. 미국 드라마 같은 느낌으로 가고 있다. 이 시리즈는 처음부터 읽어야 한다. 순서대로 읽지 않으면 이야기를 이해하기가 상당히 힘들 수도 있다. 이 작품은 Novella 형식의 단편이지만 담고 있는 내용은 상당히 임팩트가 있다. 기존까지 악역으로만 묘사되던 인물에 대한 새로운 이해, 탐욕스러운 권력자의 사악함, 새로운 인물의 출현, 인물들 간의 복잡한 인간관계, 음모론으로 치닫는 이야기 전개, 특히 마지막 장면은 다음 작품을 꼭 구매하게 만드는 내용을 담고 있다. 문장이나 표현은 이전의 시리즈 하고 비숫하다.
