Seconds Away (Mickey Bolitar Book 2) by Harlan Coben

"Being a fan of Harlan Coben, I must read all his book! I really liked his hero Mickey, so I wanted to follow his journey, and I must say that this second story is better than the first one "Shelter". If you haven't read Shelter though , you won't understand everything that's going on in Seconds Away, so you must read it first! I love the character of "Spoon" and Ema as well... Some really funny passages, and also very moving. I love the fact that they're all a bit outcasted from society for different reasons. It's a massive page turner and very easy to read. Perfect for train journeys and busy lifestyle. I loved it so much that it's made me want to read all of the books I haven't read from Coben, and the Myron Bolitar novels! I'm reading Back Spin now and really enjoying it ...."

전작보다는 재미가 있다. 전작을 읽어야 이해를 할 수 있는 부분도 있지만 이 작품부터 읽어도 충분한 거 같다. 물론 계속 언급되는 전작의 사건들에 대해서 흥미를 유발하기 때문에 전작을 읽고 싶은 충동을 억제하기가 힘들 수도 있다. 이번 작품에서도 단점이나 아쉬운 부분이 있지만.... 주인공들이 가진 한계를 생각하고 읽으면 읽을만하다. 책의 구성이 심플하고 문장의 구성이나 표현이 독자층(주인공들이 15세에서 16세 정도)을 생각해서 그런지 무난하다. 다음 작품을 읽어야 하는 결말로 끝나기 때문에 3번째 작품을 구매할 수밖에 없었다. 이 시리즈는 3권으로 구성된 거 같다.
