Yeongju is burned out. With her high-­flying career, demanding marriage, and busy life in Seoul, she knows she should feel successful, but all she feels is drained. 서점을 경영하는 분들은 한 번 읽어 볼만한 작품이 아닌가라고 말하는 분들이 있는 거 같다. 한국어판과 영어판을 비교하면서 읽었다. 당연한 이야기지만 일상적인 내용들은 영어원서든 한국어든 이해하는데 큰 문제는 없을 것이다. 다만 책을 다루는 작품이고 서점에 모이는 사람들이 설령 보통사람이라고 하더라도 인물들이 나누는 대화는 철학적인 면이 다분히 있기 때문에 한국어도 영어도 이해하는데 어려울 수 있다. 만약 한국어본에서 이해를 하기 힘들다면 영어판을 읽는 것은 큰 도움이 되지 않을 것이다. 사실 읽는 사람의 입장에 따라서 이 작품에 등장하는 내용에 대한 이해가 다를 수 있는 거 같다.
