  개인적으로 좋아하는 소재도 아니고 이야기 전개가 아주 매력적인 것도 아니지만 표현이나 문장이 무난해서 끝까지 읽을 수 있었다. 이 책에 대한 독자들의 반응도 극과 극이다. 소재에 참신성이 떨어진다는 이야기도 있고 지루한 내용을 길게 끌고 간다는 이야기도 있는거 같다. 이야기를 설명하고 인물들의 심리를 묘사하는데 작가가 사용한 3인칭시점에 한계가 있다고 보는 독자도 있는거 같다. 개인적으로는 글의 몇몇 부분에서 답답한 느낌을 받기도 했지만 시점에는 큰 문제가 없는거 같다 그리고 문장이 무난해서 비교적 빠르게 읽을 수 있었다. 소재의 참신성이 떨어진다는 점에 있어서는 어느정도 이해가 간다. 결론적으로 말한다면 읽어도 손해볼 정도의 작품은 아니다. 핵심어는 kidnapping, flirting, family affairs, cheating, betrayal, psychotic, irresponsible, ransom, murders, accomplice, double cross 등이다.
