"The 21st book in the Harry Bosch series by my favourite author Michael Connelly. Having read and thoroughly enjoyed every book this talented author has ever written it is no surprise that I jump at the chance to read any new books. I really enjoy reading book series as it allows you to really get to know the main characters and you get a really good experience from not only the plot but all the sub plots etc. This is typical of that situation and I loved every page. In this latest book Harry is running with two investigations, a rape case under his guise of a part time officer with the San Fernando Police Department and as a PI he's been asked by a very wealthy 85 year old man to try to find an heir. While running the two cases side by side the book is well paced and Connelly manages to keep both cases interesting, and well paced ..."

  재밌게 읽었다! 초반에 작가가 보여주는 유도된 복선들은 이 작품을 더 재밌게 한다. 기존에 읽은 다른 작품들처럼 전혀 관련성이 없어 보이는 두 개의 사건이 후반에 가서 연결되는 그런 이야기인 줄 알았지만... 사실 이 책은 그런 예상을 벗어난다. 화려한 추리가 등장하지는 않지만 형사인 주인공의 시점을 따라가면서 사건의 실체에 접근하는 과정은 이 책의 큰 매력이다. 비교적 장편의 책이지만 시간 가는 줄 모르고 읽었다. 문장의 구성이나 표현들이 난해한 거 같지는 않지만... 이 책을 구입하기 전에 미리보기를 해보는 것도 좋을 거 같다.
