On Borrowed Time by Jenn McKinlay

"I loved the first three books in this series, but the addition of the Robbie Vine character and the love triangle in the last couple of books has put a damper on the series for me. I get that the author may think it adds more tension, or interest, or something to the series to have the main character juggling two suitors but I find it (and the Vine character generally) more irritating than interesting. Also, the story in this book was less believable than others in the series. I hope the next installment gets back to what I loved about the earlier books...."

이번 작품은 액션 장면도 두드러지지만 코지 미스터리 장르 치고는 국제적인 이야기를 다루고 있다는 점에서 신선했다. 남주인공의 과거사 여주인공의 가족 등장과 애정의 방향등이 나타나는 작품이다. 이야기 전개도 지루하지 않아서 좋았다. 영어문장이나 구성도 읽기에 편하다. 'coffee' 'cartel' 'fungus' 'brother' 'data' 'boat chasing' 'wrinkle in time' 'team work' 'holidays' 'body' 'kidnapped' 등이 핵심어들이다.
