The usual cast appears in this work, and the usual love triangle among Norman, Mike and Hannah is still strong much to this reader's annoyance. More to this reader's annoyance is that monster Moishe. Norman bought a Christmas tree for Hannah, which Moishe knocked down on the first night. Norman tied it to the wall with wire. He and Hannah then decorated it with Hannah's great grandmother's antique ornaments. Hannah put them at the top of the tree. Moishe climbed to the top of the tree, and broke all but two of these beautiful antique ornaments. When Norman and Hannah were wrapping presents, Moishe grabbed the ribbon, and was trying to rip the wrapping paper....."

전작들에 비해서 숙어적 표현이나 난해한 문장이 거의 없다. 문맥을 이해하면 거의 이해할 수 있는 문장들이다. 사건도 심플하기 때문에 이야기 전개도 심플하고 예측이 가능하다. 하지만 시간적 배경인 크리스마스나 일상 인물들의 재밌는 묘사나 미스터리하고 유머러스한 연애이야기는 이 작품이 가지는 재미다. 물론 이번 작품에도 맛있는 음식등이 나오고 고양이와 관련된 재밌는 장면들이 나온다. 코지 미스터리 장르의 성격을 잘 보여주는 작품이다. 다만 후반을 제외하면 지루한 면이 있다. christmas, cheating, booking, loving again, snow, trees, presents, small business, monitor, suicide, dogs, account 등이 중요한 의미를 가지는 단어들이다. 이 작품을 즐겨 읽는 독자들도 읽으면서 불편해하는 부분이 있는데.... 몸무게 관련이야기나 여주인공의 연애 관련 부분들이다. 이번작품에서는 전자는 많이 줄었지만 후자는 여전히 문제성이 있는 거 같다.
