"Twelve Sharp" was a great read to me! Evanovich had me hooting with laughter yet again:There is the usual Lula & Steph embarrassments, plus a bit of Joyce Barnhardt mixed with Steph's attempts to stay mentally faithful to Morelli (too bad that the physical part of that doesn't really work out ;-)), but it seems to me that Evanovich got down to the nitty gritty with this one: Ranger is in serious trouble and even shows human traits: he asks Steph for help instead of always helping Steph and Lula out of embarrassing situations. No Valerie and Albert Kloughn in this one, but lots of fast-paced action and fun ( e.g. Stiva's has new owners - a gay couple in the Burg, imagine that!). I like the triangle Steph-Morelli-Ranger and since it has taken an astonishingly new turn, I didn't feel bored at all.....

slang들이 많이 등장하지만 전작보다 진도가 더 잘나가는 작품이다. 미스터리적 요소는 적으나 독자들을 웃게 만드는 장면들이나 액션 장면들은 실망시키지 않는 거 같다. 특히 중요 인물의 과거사가 본격적으로 다루어지고 있기 때문에 이 시리즈를 계속 읽어온 독자들의 흥미를 자극하는 거 같다. 영어 문장들은 전작들처럼 평이한 편이고 인터넷의 도움을 받아야 하는 표현들도 등장하지만 작품의 재미를 방해하는 수준은 아니다. 신분 도용, 납치, 망상, 모집, 록 밴드, 위장, 새로운 장의사들, 맨헌트, 전기 충격기, 살인, 디저트 등이 중요한 의미를 갖는 단어들이다.
