This book is filled with mystery too as secrets emerge from both the case under investigation and from some of the main characters. And I absolutely love the addition of Neely Kate, who is one of my favourite characters. I have read this book and the entire series multiple times, since I bought them in 2016 and I still end up reading far longer than I intend to. I just can’t stop turning the pages ...."

코지 미스터리 계열의 로맨틱 소설이다. 이 작품은 약 100페이지를 넘겨야 재미를 느낄 수 있다. 초반은 좀 지루한 편이다. 여주인공이 정말 많이 운다는 점과 vision이라는 사건을 볼 수 있는 특이한 기질을 가진 여자다. 오랜 시간 동안 그녀의 엄마에게 길들여진(?) 탓에 의존증적인 요소도 있는 여자다. 솔직히 여주인공 치고는 좀 떨어지는 면이 있다. 하지만 중요한 순간에는 다른 사람의 모습을 보여주는 여자다. 여주인공의 애정문제는 전형적인 패턴을 보여주기 때문에 그다지 신선함은 없는 거 같다. 시리즈가 계속되면서 이 여주인공이 어떻게 성장하는지 보는 것도 작품의 재미인 거 같다. 중반 이후로 이야기가 빨라지고 문장들도 초반에 비해서 더 간결하기 때문에 속도감이 붙는다.
