" I always get a bit concerned about reading the second book in a series. It seems to usually lose the spark of the first book and be disappointing. NOT the case here at all! Sophie is back and this time it's her sister, Leah, who's in trouble. Leah is the number one suspect in her husband's murder. Sophie knows her sister is innocent and therefore hires Anatoly, sexy PI and love interest to find the real killer. Hijinks, mystery, good lovin and lots of laughs go on from there. Another thing I love about this story is that we get to understand Sophie and Leah's relationship better. Getting that side of a main character always helps with their development....."

미스터리 장르의 작품이지만 전반적으로 유머러스한 분위기를 보여주는 작품이다. 인물들 간의 대화로 이루어진 작품이고 문장의 구조나 표현이 난해하지 않아서 진도는 잘 나가는 편이다. 다만 사건과 직접적인 관련이 없는 내용의 수다(?)가 많다. 인물들의 엉뚱한 행동이나 수다를 읽다 보면 갑자기 사건의 결말에 이른다. 부담 없이 읽을 수 있는 작품이다. floppy disks, felony charge, whistle-blower, indentity, scruples, gun, safe, vomit, affair, break into, vigilante justice, Private Investigator, drug, sisters, cats, tape recorder, comptroller, necklace, deceit, celebrities, overdose, Jewish, embezzling, identity theft, fraud stuff, ethnic, cheating 등이 작품을 이해하는데 중요한 단어들인 거 같다.
