유머, 스릴러, 코믹소설, 미스터리, 범죄물 장르의 작품이고 Stephenie Plum 시리즈의 두번째 작품이다. 전작인 One for the Money는 영화로도 제작된 작품이고 재밌게 읽었던 기억이 있어서 이번에 Two for the Dough를 읽게 되었다. 주인공이 Bounty Hunter(현상금 사냥꾼)이고 돈을 받고 Bail bandit(보석 관련 위반자) 들을 찾는 사연이 좀 있는 여성이다. 로맨스 대상이자 중요한 순간에 좀 늦게(?) 도착하는 형사, 다루기 힘든 사건에 도움을 주는 같은 업종 사람, 이 작품의 가장 큰 재미를 보장하는 할머니 등이 작품의 중심인물들이다. 장례식장, 보석금, 보석위반, 사촌들, 출석거부, 햄스터, 관의 도난, 냉동, 총기, 협박, 밀수, 범죄 친구들, 방화, 가족, 고통, 추적, 차의 도난, 전화번호 등이 중요한 의미를 갖는 단어들이다. 글을 이해하는 데는 큰 문제가 없는 구조지만 가끔씩 등장하는 표현들은 독자들의 원서경험에 따라서 좀 어려울 수도 있다.
