'Death on Demand Mystery'시리즈의 2번째 작품이다. 이전 작품보다는 페이지가 좀 늘었지만 표현등의 난이도가 좀 낮아지고 이전 작품처럼 삽화들이 있어서 작품을 이해하는데 많은 도움이 되었다. 외국독자들의 평도 있지만 이 작가의 추리장르에 대한 해박한 지식이 작품 속에서 너무 많이(?) 드러난다는 느낌이다. 대화나 묘사들에서 언급되는 작가들이나 작품들이 너무 많아서 당황스럽다. 그냥 작품자체를 더 많이 다루면 좋았을 텐데 하는 느낌이었다. 코지 미스터리지장르이고 남부소설이라고 볼 수 있다.
