All could have made a great story without crashing the airplane. Oh well, guess I'll have to read the next in the series to see if the plane can be repaired..."

'Cordell Logan Mystery' 시리즈의 두 번째 작품이다. 전작처럼 비행기와 관련된 이야기나 묘사가 많고 소위 유머러스한 표현들이나 묘사가 많다. 자극적인 내용도 있기 때문에 성인버전의 스릴러, 미스터리 장르라고 말할 수 있는 작품이다. 막장이라는 이야기의 전개는 전작과 비슷한 편이지만 반전이나 막판의 이야기 결과는 좀 놀라운(?) 부분이 있다. 대중적인 소설치고는 독자의 원서 경험에 따라서 난이도가 느껴질 수 있는 작품이다.
