FBI 로맨스 시리즈 8번째 작품이다. 액션과 로맨스적 요소가 많이 등장하는 작품이다. 전형적인 이야기 구조이기 때문에 이야기에 신선함은 별로인 거 같다. 유괴, 종교, 광기, 복수, 사랑, 집착, 폭력 같은 단어들이 중요한 의미를 갖는 단어들이다. 낯선 표현들이 등장하지만 전체적으로 읽기에 무난한 편이라 진도가 잘 나가는 작품이다.
