The novel has some interesting chapters scattered in between the main story but I got disappointed that they turned out to be independent stories with no connection to the main story" ..... 읽다보면 村上春樹(무라카미 하루키) 가 생각나는 작품이다. 문장들이나 단어가 비교적 무난하기 때문에 진도는 잘 나가는 책이다. 다만 내용이 판타지적인 면이 강하기 때문에 독자의 취향에 따라서 집중력이 떨어질 수도 있다. 개인적으로 큰 감흥은 없었다. 초반에는 프로스트적 노스탈지아의 느낌을 가지다가 그 이후로 村上春樹(무라카미 하루키)의 분위기로 달려가는 책인거 같다(전적으로 개인적 소견이다!!). 핵심어는 nostalgia, flea, pond like ocean, cats, vulture, sacrifice, wand, farm, shadows, lonely, oblivion 등인거 겉다.
