이 책의 저자는 미국의 영화배우이자 코미디언이다. 글이 유머러스하고 읽기에 편하다. 다른 전문가들의 도움으로 다양한 나라에서 다양한 시험을 한 결과를 자기 경험에 비추어서 이야기하고 있다. 사실 미국적인 내용도 있지만 대부분의 내용이 우리나라의 사람들에게도 관련이 있는 내용이다. 기술의 발전 즉 스마트폰, 페이스북, sms(short message service) 등의 발전이 어떻게 우리의 연애생활을 바꾸어 왔는가를 나름 설득력있게 기술하고 있다. 공감이 가는 부분이 상당히 많다.
