죽어가는 남자에 대한 이야기이다. 페이지로 본다면 중편정도의 길이지만 표현이나 내용으로 본다면 장편이라고 할정도로 쉽지 않은 부분들이 있다. 죽어가는 남자의 모습을 상당히 잘 묘사하고 있는 책이지만 이런 내용을 좋아하지 않는 독자들은 읽는데 큰 의미를 느끼지 못할 것 같다. 한 인간의 삶과 죽음은 우리의 운명이기도 하기에 이 책이 주는 의미는 그만큼 있는거 같다. 살면서 죽음이라는 단어는 수도없이 만나지만 실재로 죽음을 만나는 것은 역시 힘든 상황이다.
