Frankl tries to find a meaning in work, love and courage, never giving up hope in the future and a sense of humor. Especially I am impressed by his insight into freedom in the following sentences that are from the preface of the English edition written by Harold S. Kushner. "forces beyond your control can take away everything you possesses except one thing, your freedom to choose how you will respond to the situation. You cannot control what happens to you in life, but you can always control what you will feel and do about what happens to you" I am really interested in his psychotherapy, so I would like to understand logotherapy more .... 一度は読むべき名作。’生きる’ということに関してもう一度深く考えるきっかけを得ることができた。「あらゆるものを奪われた人間に残された、たった一つのもの、それは与えられた運命に対して自分の態度を選ぶ自由、自分のあり方を決める自由である。」 今自分が生きているこの運命に対し、どのような態度を取るのかという自由は常に私に与えられているのだ。どのような状況に置かれていてもそれをどのように捉えるのかという自由を有している私は幸せなのだと思うことができた　。。。
