불륜을 저지른 여자, 복수심에 불타는 남편, 불륜의 당사자이면서 협박을 하는 정신 나간 남자, 아버지의 부끄러운 범죄를 은폐하고자 하는 여자, 순진한 건지 바보인지 분간하기 힘든 여자 등이 등장하는 감동 없는 막장드라마다. 미국 독립전쟁시대의 요리책과 암호에 대한 이야기가 그나마 작품의 수준을 유지시켜준다. 문장이나 구성은 다른 시리즈처럼 무난하다. 다만 불필요하게 장편으로 간 느낌이다.
