" ... I am now on my last magical cats and will be lost till the next one. Although it is a crime murder mystery it is well written and easy reading. Although the cats are different supposedly they are similar to the pets we all have and can relate. The narrator Kathleen tells her cats not to do something..they do it. I tell my dog not to roll in fox doodah she does it. Kathleen rattles the cats dinner dishes and the cats come running.. I rattle my dogs dinner dish I almost get knocked over in the rush. See all relative. Give the Sofie Kelly books a try they are really great holiday reading ...."

화려한 액션도 뛰어난 추리도 없는 평범한 코지 미스터리다. 하지만 불필요한 대화나 장면이 별로 없고 독자가 내용에 집중할 수 있도록 해주는 이야기 전개는 이 작품의 매력이다. 대다수의 이런 작품들은 읽다 보면 지루한 느낌도 들고 글의 내용과 관계없는 내용들로 페이지를 채우는 경우가 꽤 있다. 하지만 이 작품은 그런 장면들은 거의 없다. 다만 마지막 부분에서 긴장감을 높이고자 하는 저자의 욕심이.... 옥에 티다. 문장이나 표현 등은 크게 어려운 것이 없다.
