"...... read all seven volumes of IN SEARCH OF LOST TIME" "You are what you eat."  등 이 작품을 읽으면서 의미 있게 읽은 문장들을 적어봤다. 한국 대중문화에 대한 솔직하고 현실감 있는 묘사가 좋고 작품에 나오는 한국어들이 솔직하고 정감 있어서 읽는 동안 즐거웠다. 음식을 통해서 자기의 정체성을 찾아가고 사랑했던 사람들을 기억하고자 하는 작가의 노력이 대단하다. 가끔씩 그리움에 눈물을 흘리는 작가의 모습에 공감이 갔다.
