This is one of the best installments to this mystery series. I love how the author shook up the love triangle between Hannah, Norman and Mike. I love all of the characters around Lake Eden and the relationship they have with Hannah. But, the best thing about this book is the whodunit plot twists that kept me guessing until the last page....."

'cut to the chase 바로 본론으로 들어가다' 'take the bull by the horns 문제에 정면으로 맞서다' 'wolf in sheep's clothing 위선자' 'pie in the sky 그림의 떡' 'Handsome is as handsome does 행동이 그 사람을 만든다' 'nickel and dime 인색하게 굴다' 'Brace yourself 마음 단단히 먹어라' 등 다양한 관용구어가 등장하기 때문에 어려워하는 하는 독자도 있는 거 같고 추리적 요소보다는 음식이나 주변적인 이야기가 너무 많아서 지루하다고 생각하는 독자도 있는 거 같다. 작은 마을에서 영화 촬영이 시작되고 마을 사람들은 오디션에 참여하고 여주인공은 감독을 위해서 치즈 케이크를 만들기 시작한다. 학창시절지인과의 만남, 지루한 신경전, 남편에 대한 의심, 고양이의 연기, 재봉틀, 리허설 등이 중심을 이루는 내용이다.
