서평가의 독서법 Ex Libris: 100+ Books to Read and Reread by Michiko Kakutani

원서제목  Ex Libris ( --의 장서에서 )라는 이름이 주는 느낌은 읽기에 어렵거나 '--인체 하는 느낌'을 갖게 하는 거 같았다. 한국어 번역책과 원서를 비교하면서 중반까지 읽었는데 처음 느낀 인상보다는 읽을 만하다는 것이다. 다만 다루고 있는 작품들이나 저자들에 대해서 '낯선' 느낌을 받는 독자들은 이 책이 크게 와닿지는 않을 거 같다. 정말 밑줄을 긋고 싶은 멋진 문장들도 있지만 이해하기에 힘들거나 불친절한 설명을 다루는 부분도 꽤 있는 거 같다. 중반 이후로는 번역본을 읽었다. 번역본에 더 친절한 정보가 많아서 읽는데 도움이 많이 되었다. 이 책의 가장 큰 특징은 아마...'트럼프 전 대통령'에 대한 경멸(?)이나 이민자에 대한 공감 등이 많은 페이지를 차지고 있다는 점이다.
